|
|
I'd like to use an FBC1010 to control the speed of the rotary speaker of an TR organ patch. I'm doing this with my M-50, but I'm stumped on the TR.
With the M-50 I change the Rotary Speed control in the rotary speaker IFX from "manual" to "Ribbon #16," and set the send midi channel of the pedal B to the M50's global ch, and have it send 0-127 signals to CC16.
The global channel of the TR is 5, but I when I have the M-50 play a Timbre on the TR I use EXT ch2 on the M50 and set the TR to receive on ch2. Depending on the situation, I control the TR's volume with either the Master vol pedal or pedal A on the FBC1010 by setting the pedal's midi channel to 2. I've gone into the TR's rotary speaker IFX and tried changing the control options to Ribbon #16. There are actually three places that give you this option, but none of them respond to pedal A's CC#16 signals on ch2.
I'm not sure why the TR is not responding like the M-50 does unless it is because I'm not sending CC signals on the TR's global channel. [There are several reasons why I can't set the TR's global to the channel the same channel as the channel it receives signals from the TR.]
Anyone have any suggestions as to why this isn't working and what can be done to fix it? _________________ M50-61, TR-61, EXB-SMPL w/64MG, Motif Rack-ES, Juno-G, Yamaha S03, Bose L1 Model II; M1, SQ1+ |

There is somewhere in IFX setup where you set which MIDI channel the IFX listens on.
The problem here is that you are using a channel that isn't the global. By default the IFX and MFX are listening on Gch. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, Karma, RADIAS-R, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II, Novation ReMote37SL, Akai APC20, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2.

I see on page 166 of the Parameter Guide an indication that the "listening" channel for an MFX (not an IFX) can be specified somewhere in the TR, but I haven't been able to find where that location in the menu is.
Does anyone know how to get to the correct page?
I've notice that there have been several versions of the Parameter Guide. I'm running firmware version 1.04 on my TR and haven't been able to find on the Korg website what the latest version for the TR is. Could it be that the functionality I'm looking for was added in a later version of the firmware?
If so, where can I find a download for that firmware? _________________ M50-61, TR-61, EXB-SMPL w/64MG, Motif Rack-ES, Juno-G, Yamaha S03, Bose L1 Model II; M1, SQ1+ |

No, this functionality has always been there.
I think it is in IFX > Setup, to the right of the FX name (where you set IFX output bus, MFX sends, pan, and Listen Channel) _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, Karma, RADIAS-R, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II, Novation ReMote37SL, Akai APC20, MOTU MIDI TimePiece 2.

You were so right!
It is the top right most box on the Combi 7.1 IFX set up page
Thanks much. _________________ M50-61, TR-61, EXB-SMPL w/64MG, Motif Rack-ES, Juno-G, Yamaha S03, Bose L1 Model II; M1, SQ1+ |
