I don't think so:
===
www.korgpa.com
Style Compatibility:
Pa80 format: can be loaded in all Korg Pa series models.
Pa1X format: can be loaded in all models except Pa80, Pa60 and Pa50/Pa50SD.
Pa800 format: can be loaded in all models except Pa1X (all versions), Pa80, Pa60 and Pa50/Pa50SD.
Pa3X format: can be loaded in Pa3X (both versions) only.
===
So we need somebody to convert them for us!
Volunteers?
Or even better: Korg puts them on Bonusware! _________________ Musical grtz, Frans

PA3X styles will NOT load into PA2X
However, here are 15 banks of PA3X styles converted to PA2X format.
I got these from someone here on the forums but can't seem to find the original thread, anyhow I have made them available here:-
http://www.mediafire.com/?86n4l0t2w254a2r
Please load and play these at your own risk. (I loaded and played them on my PA2XPro just before I sold it - they seemed fine)
Cheers

Hi Pete,
Great that you made these banks available (again).
I couldn't resist to try and load them in my PA800.
Technically it works; I didn't get any error messages and so on.
I could load each style (did'n try 'm all of cours in such short period of time).
But soundwise: most of them don't sound good at all.
Drums & percussion tracks need to be remapped in most cases.
Probably a lot of the other tracks also.
And still most styles seem out of tune.
Would be nice if Korg did provide us with these styles formatted for the lower PA's!
It doesn't keep people away from buying PA3X IMO, because in PA3X they probably sound way better.
Just hoping...
Thanks anyway, Mate! _________________ Musical grtz, Frans

Hi Fransman,
SORRY.....
The few I tried seemed ok but if they are all needing lots of tweaking, then they are probably not worth the effort.
Cheers

Hi Guys,
I'm guessing they would have been converted via EMC which doesn't always do a very good job.
Majority of styles wouldn't be worth converting across anyway, as PA800 & PA3X have a lot of the styles in common. PA3X uses some new sounds, has the 4 fills, & uses Guitar Mode 2.
I've actually done a list of the styles , as to what's new on PA3X & what existed on the PA800.
PA3X styles that use Guitar Mode 2 possibly wouldn't convert across well into PA800 format, as Guitar Mode 2 tracks can contain midi notes as well as guitar mode notes, wheras PA800 Guitar Mode 1 , only contain guitar mode notes, so there's a conflict when converting.
The above is just one of the problems.
As Pete mentioned, you may just be lucky enough to get the odd one that works ok.
EMC is a bit patchy in that regard, some style conversions work with minor tweaking, others aren't worth it. _________________ best wishes

Hi Rikki,
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this topic.
Do you have a digital version of the "comparison list"?
That would simplify the "cherry picking" process for the odd ones. _________________ Musical grtz, Frans

Hi Frans,
I've got it on some sort of a spreadsheet that came with my laptop.
Might need to tidy it up a bit so it would make sense to someone other than myself. haahaa
More than welcome to have a copy. I'll try & get the time to fix it later today.
Unfortunately it wasn't just a case of comparing style names,, some of them had identical names, but were actually a new style.
I think I've got them correct now, I've been thru them a couple of times.

Hi Rikki,
That sounds great!
There are not so many people out there with both PA800 AND PA3X (AND Yamaha... ) who could (or are willing to) make this comparison.
And that that one person is being so helpful is just awesome!
Thank you so much, please keep up the good work!

Hi Rikki,
Thank you so much,
these will do just fine!
It would have been almost impossible for me to figure this out myself.
It would have been even better if Korg provided us with this information.
They probably have this available in their databases.
Korg's style management system (with the sets) isn't quite user friendly.
Providing us, keyboardplayers, with atleast a bit more info about the styles would be a good step forward.
Mister T. Bleck from Germany also did a great job with his PA800 style-databae.
You can find them here: http://www.tbleck.de/u1-keyboard-005.htm
Thumbs up! _________________ Musical grtz, Frans

Hi Guyduy,
Noticed Frans was kind enough to send you the sheets.
If you guys have any problems trying to decipher what I meant, just let me know.
