OK. Here it is another issue for the Zero 8 mixer.
The mixer is on and NOT connected to the firewire (but if it is the behaviour is the same...).
It happens randomly (every now and then I mean) that all the 8 channels of the mixer produce a very loud noise. Something like a capacitor discharge and they don't stop until I power cycle the mixer...
The faders positions are meaningless. The channels selector are on the CD/Line, because I need this input.
The mixer is not connected to any external devices (FX, MIDI or anything else)
Is there a solution/work around to this problem?
Thanks for the help.

Alberto

I would downgrade or upgrade firmware, do the hold button reset, and make sure everything is clean and dust free, if nothing changes this behavior contact an authorized repair shop, or open it yourself and check for blown or ill capacitors.

Hi, thank for the advices.
I can not open the mixer because it is still in warranty.
Anyway the mixer is now to the UK Korg Service for repair. I hope they can do something to bring it back to the original good conditions.
I'm waiting for thier response.
I cannot think to change the mixer for another digital one. Now that I have the Zero 8 all the other mixers look "flat". You know what I mean?
So I hope I'll get back here and tell that Korg Service solved the problem...

Bye.
Alberto

Hi,
do you still have the problems? Because i have the same issues now. Bought the Korg Zero 8 at ebay and now I have the same problems. I hope the Korg Service could repair the mixer.

What do you mean "all 8 channels" -- does the noise show on the blue channel meters? What does the noise sound like? A steady sound? Popping? Does the mixer still work otherwise, or is all audio gone?
