I know it's an old thread but just wanted to say that at least with OS 3.1.2 this app is working just fine.
But i downloaded the sources and compiled them using VS2015.
Greetings,

Alright, I zipped the executable and uploaded the file to:
http://www.filedropper.com/kronoseditor
But the executable shouldn't be any different than the original file.
Anyway, hope it works.

No worries!
But please remember, I'm not the author of this software.
Best wishes,

Yes, I know you are not the author.
But even tough you compiled and shared it with many folks that wouldn't know how to do that So, thank you! |

Great editor chrutil!
I use it under Windows 10 on a Sony Vaio Pro SVP13... (FullHD).
Does anybody know which Screensize is needed to see the AL-1 complete on one Screen?
I would pay too for this kind of editor for all soundengines! |

Thanks Hyper_LFO!
The background image in the editor is rendered at 4200x760 so you'll need a few more pixels than that to account for the window border, but yeah, that'll be quite some screen!
and just in case you haven't notice you can scroll sideways by dragging with the middle mouse button pressed.
No active development going on with the editor unfortunately, I picked it up again a while back to see if I could add another engine, but it is rather time consuming and I'm spending most of my limited spare time building actual analog synths these days.
I still would recommend it for anyone that wants to dig into the AL-1 engine since it does work well for that.
Cheers,

Oh, just 4200px - I found a cheap monitor which will do that https://www.cdw.com/product/barco-coronis-12mp-uniti-color-diagnostic-mammo-tomo-mxrt-7600-mdmc-12133/3567188
I have recognized how to scroll, but the Idea is to have all controls at once - just like real hardware synth where you have a knob for every parameter.
As my Vaio has touch it is relatively comfortable to use it for adjustig the controls. Beside the old UI, the small screen of the Kronos itself and the outdated plastic film digitizer it would be nice to use a bigger screen with the Kronos.

As Kronos is up today the flagship workstation with all the know how of Korg for the last 40 years, I think they will go on with it. You can do everything with a Kronos, but it is difficult and sometimes annoying to archive it. Everyday I get a crisis when I have to do alpha/numeric input on this whatever it is called "japanese logic keyboard screen" ...
Real analog is very trendy and a moog one a fantastic piece for gear, but its increadible how good virtual analog is in sound and easy polyphony it has.
"building actual analog synths" - next Dave Smith coming?

A great start to dive into analog synths, THX
