After fitting a new SSD and Memory and paying the nice instalation person for the fitting. The instalation tech will very kindly put a nice big red X on your Kronos FREE OF CHARGE lol.

Joking aside they could put an upgraded to X sticker if they wished, as both my Roland Keyboards had extra stickers to denote that the OS in the Roland Keyboards was higher. (Roland VA7 and G-70).

Why do this? to show that the Kronos was offically upgraded by a Korg person which is good for the company if there is a later fault. And good for the customer in that if he/she wishes to sell shows that the upgrade was done officially by a Korg Specialist.

What do you guys think?

the receipt of work performed by the service center is proof

wouldn't be difficult to print out a red X and attach it , if wanted to.

Yeh on my Roland the One was a silver badge the other an orange one just easier to keep than a receipt.

I hear you. Some of us keyboard owners over the years, keep receipts. And manuals.

Easier to sell it or even get service with the paper record.

Besides a small OS 2.0 or Upgraded X small sticker could look smart to Razz.

Xpanded sticker on my M3 was removed by the previous owner as he thought it looked cheap.

Before someone asks, he wasn't pulling a fast one, had the receipt, manuals etc and if you looked at it in certain lighting at certain angles, you could see the square where it was originally stuck, hard to explain, but a very slight colour difference.

Nope not out yet. However I did arrange for the Korg Distibuter in Malayisia to come and upgrade my memory for me before the announcment will be 300 RM parts and labour. I have couple of keybed issues so they doing the pad keybed upgrade same time. I might send them a mail ask them to wait so I can get a SSD so they can bang in a second one at the same time hopefully will be all set then.

I'm trying to determine if, in Australia, the extended three-year warranty applies, or if the standard one-year warranty applies.

If it's a one year warranty, I will gladly do it myself in November. Otherwise I will seek to do it through Korg's network.
