I am really producing quite a few songs since i have had the Kronos this is my fifth and sixth song using the keyboard (and DAW). What I like about it is its giving me ideas in very different areas/genres I did my first trance track ever. And have got some other ones at the go at the moment to.

So song 5 is called The Kedar Range is based on the combi thunder pluck. I tried using the Karma with this but that took the song in a diffrent direction that I wanted. Thanks for Sharp with the help as the combi to sequancer transfer was not working correctly.

Anyway this has a distinctly asian or indian feel to me. I live in Malaysia and maybe I have been subconsciously inspired by the music I hear in the restaurants etc. here. The song for me is strange as its based just on the one scale. It seems to me that its a type of journey on an elephant train or something into mountains of India. I looked up Wikipedia and the Kedar Range is a range of mountains that form a Valley into the Himalayas where there is a temple and thought that would be appropriate to the track.

The second track again for the first time I have ever done a break beat song. It has auto drum fills in this with some wacky pans and scratches. I used both Karma and the drums to layer the song while recording. It actually uses three different drum tracks at the same time. Given that I have never really listened to break beat to any great extent I feel really happy with the tune and love that it sounds so good "out of the box".

Both of these tunes can be found on www.darmindeflern.com in the first media player on the right hand side of the page you will see it has six tracks all from Kronos just use the arrow keys to skip to the track you wish to listen to. Please note that it uses flash thanks.

Any feedback or questions are as allways welcome.
