|
|
hello all
i did upgrade my monotribe to V2 and it is working ok, all functions works ok, but a strange problem appears:
the power button doesn't work as expected --
if i try to turn on it doesn't work.
i have to disconnect the dc 9v and reconnect, then monotribe starts without i press the power button - but the power button works to turn the unit off.
the same with batteries, i have to remove one or more batteries, and when i put them again monotribe starts.
any suggestions?

Sorry if this is obvious, but have you held the button down instead of just hitting it? |

both ways doesn't turn on the monotribe, using power supply or batteries. |

i tried but didn't work -- always giving the error msg blinking lights when the update fails.
it's like after the update the button got inverted, doesn't turn on the unit, i have to move the batteries OR plug the power adapter and the monotribe turns on alone, without touching the power button -- it just works now for turning it off.
UPDATE BUG? |

How about try to push and hold power button in, while inserting battery or power cord to turn on. Once it's on, release power button. That may reset the switch. |

damn dude this one's a stumper... may be worth actually getting it looked at (take it to a korg dealer who can send it in for you) but obviously that's a giant pain in the ass... _________________ Marcus Carab (aka Leigh Beadon)

Are you able to enter global mode?
"While holding down the ACTIVE STEP button and the GATE TIME
button, turn the power on. The monotribe will enter Global Menu
mode." |

Was there any solution found for this?
I have the exact same problem on my new Monotribe that have update 2.0 pre-installed.
Worked fine for one hour then after turning it off it would not want to start again. Taking out one of the batteries and plugging it back in lets me start, but after turning it off I need to do the same thing again.
I also noticed that after turning off the synth there is still static sound coming from the headphone-output/speaker. This static goes away when taking out one of the battery.
other then this the synth seems to work as intended.
Any ideas guys? |
