Hi Guys,

I have an 88 key Kronos, I'm starting to do a lot of lounge piano work in restaurants and wedding venues etc. Some songs (like Fly Me To The Moon), I might want a bit of a swing backing drums and maybe even a generated bassline.

I don't know how to use Karma, it's confusing, but basically is this possible? Can I activate Karma for a few songs and is it possible to program it to work well with Swing / Jazz piano songs?

If so, how might I go about learning how to do this?

Hope you can help!

Dave

Yes, its possible.
Doesn’t take much effort either to be honest once you know how KARMA works.

Have a read of the manual.
You might prefer to start HERE first though as it's a wiki created by end users just like you.
Something to also try is, search through the program sounds to find a PROG sound that is already programmed to do what you need. If you make note of the number, you can from any other sound copy the KARMA settings from the progarm that does what you want into any program.

It's only then a matter of selecting the KARMA pattern you want to give you a Swing.

Regards
Sharp.

Yes this no problem at all.
What you have to do is create a combi for a song, select a KARMA GE for the drums and a KARMA GE for the bassline.

Then select a pattern with the rythm pattern fader you like and move the swing fader till you have the swing you want.

That basicly all you have to do.

First get some basic understanding of how to modify the behaviour of KARMA patterns. You can watch my KARMA tutorial 1 for an introduction to this technique.
