|
|
Hi all,
Am brand new to WD, got my Oriental last weekend. What a beautiful way to get back into percussion without annoying the neighbours (too much!)
I'm traditionally a (very lapsed) djembe player, so the djembe patches were the first I gravitated toward.
I noticed that on my (new) WD, patch 16 (djembe) has a peculiar drone when I apply pressure to the head and don't play anything. As I don't have another WD to compare to I have no idea if this is normal or not - that said I know that my (real) djembe doesn't produce this sound.
I'm going to reset the WD to factory defaults, but wondered if anyone could offer any insight? It's a bit odd and makes closed slaps/muting a bit peculiar.
Thanks very much.

hello phil ,
there is actually a drone tone on P16
thats OK
this sound comes from the rim Algorithm No 2 "Temple"
edit 2 , parameter rim 5 makes it silent ...
(edit 1 , pressure curve does not influence the rim Algorithm)
not typical for a djembe , but its a Wavedrum |

Awesome, as long as it is behaving as intended then I am a very happy man.
Thank you ever so much.
