There is not such thing s mic out on pa3x, just mic or line in. Either mic or line goes out from main Right&Left and levels are adjustuble from real time track on front panel.
Just plug your mic on pa3x and connect the mains out to your mixer, adjust the volume and you're ready to go. _________________ Gear: Korg pa700, Roland Fantom X6 |

I channel my keyboard out on channels L & R and my vocals out on outputs 1 & 2
So I have 4 channels going into my mixer - works perfectly - keeps all the vocals completely independent from the keyboard.
Cheers

Ppress the GLOBAL button.
Touch the Box on the screen “Audio Setup”.
Touch the Tab “Audio In” on the bottom right of the screen.
Set the Out to “Change 1+2 (No MP3 Rec)” and not "L+R (MP3 Rec)"
Done...
Regards

Hello. When routing pa3x mic in to mixer trough pa3x outputs 1 and 2, is the best thing to connect pa3 outputs to mixer with this cable?

Thank you ,thank you.
That is sooooo much better a setup.
Should I have balanced leads on the L/R out. I will have to buy some if so.
It doesn't sound bad with the unbal?

I seem to have done something to the pan on the KB (or not done something)
If I pan a upper to the right, The sound does not go to the right monitor, instead, it almost ceases to sound at all and changes the sound.
Panning to the left gives me sound but on both monitor.
If I pan on the xynyz to the right, I get nothing at all.centre and full left does not alter the output but sounds normal. What do I have wrong. Please read the above post for the changes I have made.

striphio, you will not get stereo effects if you use that cable - some harmony and other effects make good use of stereo out either via L and R or via 1 & 2 as Sharp suggests.
Barry, balanced leads are always better but only if your amp has balanced input.
Not sure whats happening with your setup but be awarte that one you plug into L/R Mono (and not R) the stereo sound will be summed to mono. |

Thank you reuben
I am using L/R mono leads and I need to buy a couple of balanced leads soon.
Surely that would not make any difference to the way the pan should work?
I'm pretty sure that the audiobox USB has balanced input. Someone may correct me if I'm wrong.
I know the mixer is only a cheapie but that is all I needed at the time I bought it.
If I have to buy a better one, I will if it proves to be the problem.
I have to use a mixer because I run my computer sounds through it + my KN6000.
My guess is it is some setting in the pa3x that needs altering but I can't find anything in the manual.

Thx for responds. I am connecting my pa3x from left out to mono in in mixer, with balanced cable. I dont use two cables for stereo connect because positiong of speakers on gigs are rarely in stereo setups to get that effect. I used unbalanced cable before, but now using balanced because it cut off huming noise that sometime apears. I have better sound quality when singing on mic on mixer than when i connect it on pa3x.... i gues mixer has better preamp and effects. But when conectin staight to mix, i have no vocoder. So i was thinking to connect mic in pa3x and then in global audio setup to route mic to output 1&2 and than from those output with this cable to mixer mic input. Maybe i wil have better mixer sound with pa3x's vocoder as well. Or to connect with one cable from output 1 only to mix. I dont know what is better. I gues first one because mic in canon is stereo.
Sorry for mistakes. |

I'm using a Shure SM58 and found these mic settings work for me.
Voice Proc Setup
EQ Low -6db (151 Hz)
Mid +3db (1076 Hz) at 1.8
HI +7db (1612 Hz)
Compress 50%
De-Ess 47%
Gate - Adaptive
Lead Atten -3db
Harmony Atten -5db
Basically the Highs needed a big boost and the lows lots of cutting.
Best,
John |
