|
|
hey hey.
i currently have an Korg M50 and it serves me well.
but i am looking for an 2de keyboard (not a slave).
one that matches the sounds of the M50.
i usually play al lot of heavy stuff, like metal en electronic music.
so the lead sounds have to be good and adaptable.
Greetings Randy _________________ Gear:
- Korg M50
- Behringer FCB 1010
- M- Audio Keystation 88es
I have a very good piano module for sale: ketron klavipro. |

M50's a mid-budget board so are you looking for something in that pice range? Another thing that would be helpful to know is how comfortable / experienced you are with programming; if you play mainly from presets then keeping that method of playing would be more important for you. Finally, do you have any prejudices or favorites where gear is concerned? I'm pretty much a Korg guy, and haven't really liked yamaha gear for a while, but tolerate roland pretty well.
If you are on a low budget I would look at picking up a used triton classic and installing the Trance Attack EXB-09 card -- that combination should be between $600 - $700 US and would give you a bunch of lead sounds like you want, in a format (presets and easier tweaks on a touchscreen) that will be familiar to you from using the M50.
There are also some "just-barely-out-of-date" Roland and Yamaha budget boards that might suit as well (MM6, Juno-D), tho they're more likely to be general sound palate (like the M50) than cutting edge lead sounds.
And older gets cheaper - browse the GuitarCenter.com Used Gear site and enter a price range between $100-$350 and you'll be surprised at how big the selection is for former flagship synths that are 5 to 10 years past their last production run.

Check out the Korg X50. A lot cheaper then the M50 but has the same sound engine if'I'm correct
But indeed, if you mention your budget and way how you wat to use it? Because you can also buy a real synth like a Radias or Moog. _________________ Low frequency rulez |

Nope, X50 and M50 have different engines. But in my experience it's a good combination. Or you can use Korg microX (have a same engine like X50) and connect M50 and microX with MIDI cables (use microX like a sound module). _________________ C:\> run

Current gear: Krome - I love it; Vox ToneLab ST - simply perfect; Hartke KM200 - thunder on the stage; Epiphone LP GoldTop - i always wished
Past gear: M50 - my honey; microX - replacement for my X50 (like sound module controlled from M50); X50 - lightweight and powerful; KORG AX 3G - small and well |
