Hello there.

Just wanted to use this thread to share/contribute with some of my Korg Electribe ESX-1 projects (.ESX files) with other ESX´s owners.

I have around 10 years using Electribes and similar, bigger and smaller drum machines. 20 years using synths.

I made all the samples, so no prob, I made all these for free sharing.

First one:

Dave Smith Tempest for the Korg Electribe ESX-1

A 255 samples mono collection directly from the DSI Tempest.

A tiny approach to the Tempest´s sound, into the Electribe ESX-1.

LINK: http://depositfiles.com/files/ljti1sbah

I´ll be posting soon a ESX project with sounds from the Ensoniq Fizmo, and also some mixed projects with samples from other synths like DSI Prophet 8, Emu Proteus 2500, Roland Vsynth, etc....

Hey Balma! Nice to see your sample project of the Tempest is up...I'll have to check this out when I get a chance. Do you find you're still getting plenty of use out of the ESX now that you've got that beast? I have to admit I was pretty let down when I heard they don't plan on supporting sample importation, but it's a moot point because that thing's well out of my price range Laughing In any case it seems like a really serious synth/drum machine and I hope you're getting some good use out of it! Nice to see you supporting the ESX community like this.

Seeing this, I'm thinking I should start a sample collection from various synths...

I´m slowly taking out from the Electribe all the things the Tempest can do.
Tempest has the "best possible" sequencing concept on a drummachine. One second booting and you have 512 analog/digital patches just for a single song, on a permanent realtime edit mode.

Now I´m working more with voice samples, old movie samples experimenting and nature textures on the Electribe.

I won´t stop using it now I have the Tempest, since a sampler is an open source to any sound.

I made the Tempest project, just for sharing a little bit of its sound with Electribe´s owners who can´t afford a $2000 drummachine... I would use these samples only if I lose or sell the Tempest...

Anyway, I can´t also pay that Laughing , my Tempest came from my sponsors.... Embarassed also the Prophet8

Thanks balma. Nice samples but i can not open the tempest file with vlc. The other link works fine in electribe editor. Really appreciate the time that goes into making the stretch and slice samples so thanks a lot! Look forward to seeing more and maybe sharing some of my own.javascript:emoticon('Wink')

Weird. I still using the old organizer (ESX Wave Organizer) precisely for these inconvenients. I think the new one saves the files as .ESX (caps lock) the old one as .esx. Sometimes the ones made with the java script cannot be edited with the old one

I uploaded the sample pack, you´ll have to create the project. I worked a lot with these samples, editing them in order to being used by the Electribe in a proper way.

Third ESX file:

This project includes several Multisamples.
These are groups of 4/8 samples appended one after another.
The multisamples can be accessed individually ONLY after being chopped with the slice function.
Creating appended samples is a helpful technique for saving memory locations on the mono samples section.

This project is house/minimal oriented, at 128/130 bpm. Lots of bpm loop samples, voice effects. Enjoy....

Mono samples: 184 of 256
Stereo samples: 60 of 128
Remaining time: 24.8 secs.

There are also 64 patterns I made, feel free you use them at your will. I removed all the unused samples so there´s a little bit of memory available on the banks....

Shocked

Many thanks balma for the time and effort involved in uploading all of the samples. I have just purchased my ESX-1. I have been wanting to get rid of the cheesy pre-set samples ASAP. Have only gone through the Tempest files so far but sound ace! Thanks again Very Happy

FIZMO´s project for the Electribe almost ready... Shocked

I´m having a hard time with this one. Fizmo´synthesis is focused on long duration, evolving sounds, so fitting them into 289 seconds is a programmation challenge. Besides, is a very stereo panned synth....

this project will bring a lot of unusual, extravange sounds.... Finishing it around 1-2 weeks....

Sharing another of my projects:

"Tama" includes lots of patterns and dedicated samples for dance music at

128bpm, knd of minimalistic sound. This project was created for a live performance on Tamarindo Beach, couple of years ago.

If you use your electribe stand alone, please set the MIDI clock to INT in order to make them play, or use MIDI to control the Electribe's tempo with other synth.

If you use the ESX-1 alone and not controlled by another MIDI device, turn the ext MIDI clock off.

TAMA5
Mono samples: 220
Stereo samples: 84

Patterns: around 200

There is a hard work on this .ESX project, so please squeeze it....

All the samples and sequences by Mauricio Balma.
