I want to use another synth with my EMX, but are the sequencer tracks polyphonic, or will the external synth also have to do with monophonic operation? |

monophonic unless you set multiple synth parts to the same MIDI channel but programming polyphonic synth across multiple parts would be a chore. _________________ http://soundcloud.com/neotechtonics

Ok, thanks for the info. Would be cool to have at least a couple of polyphonic tracks, maybe in the next Electribe? |

If you want a polyphonic sequencer, pick up a second hand RM1X. Awesome sequencer, internal sounds aren't so hot. They can be had for £150 or so. _________________ Korg: M3M, EMX2, EMX1 (x2), ESX1, ER1, EA1, R3, MicroKorg, MicroSampler, Micro X, KP2, KP3, KPMini 1&2, KO1&2, KP Pro

Yeah, I used to have one, but replaced it with an RS7000. Problem is, it's so chunky, and also a bit cumbersome in operation. I guess I'll be using my iPad instead. But thanks for the suggestion! |
