I want to use another synth with my EMX, but are the sequencer tracks polyphonic, or will the external synth also have to do with monophonic operation?

monophonic unless you set multiple synth parts to the same MIDI channel but programming polyphonic synth across multiple parts would be a chore.

Ok, thanks for the info. Would be cool to have at least a couple of polyphonic tracks, maybe in the next Electribe?

If you want a polyphonic sequencer, pick up a second hand RM1X. Awesome sequencer, internal sounds aren't so hot. They can be had for £150 or so.

Yeah, I used to have one, but replaced it with an RS7000. Problem is, it's so chunky, and also a bit cumbersome in operation. I guess I'll be using my iPad instead. But thanks for the suggestion! Smile
