I had used my PA 500 for many years and I sold it to get the new PA 600, so far I like the sound, the screen, but I have notice that there are missing features from the PA 500, as a live performer, is very handy to have the Afterfill, meaning that I can trigger the Fill (Velocity) and go to the next style variation, I only had to strike the keys a little harder, but save me to take my hands of playing either chords or melody and push the next variation.....

I hope Korg re-instead this Important feature for live performers, I really miss it.
I will keep looking for other features.
I hope someone also uses this feature.....
Thanks

This feature is on the PA800, PA500 and PA3X --- but not on the PA600. What gives KORG???

I agree that this kind of marketing strategy is at best annoying, and at worst self-defeating (someone who wants the deleted feature won't upgrade, they will keep their older model.)

The main cost faced by the manufacturers is software development. The code for the after-fill feature already exists. There is no marginal cost, so it makes NO sense to delete software-based features.

Also see my comments on this thread.

There are plenty of used boards out there on eBay, and still in stores. If Korg expects users to trade in or move up, maybe they will add back the missing features in an OS upgrade.

Along with the deleted features, it seems like the last batch of new arrangers from Roland and Korg were full of hardware and software bugs! Doesn't anyone do quality control anymore?? Pretty soon I'm going to find a clean, pre-owned i30. At least THAT worked!
