Greetings, I may have an issue with my almost new PA600. As I had selected one of my songs and was playing it, the sound almost totally went away. Didn't matter if I used headphones or the keyboard speakers. I could barely hear it with the volume turned all the way up. Turning off the keyboard somehow reset it and it worked. The second time, I found that by hitting the sound button and playing live sounds, I would get normal volume. This has happened twice and yes, has given me cause for concern. Anybody have this happen? Is there any factory reset other than factory restore which if I'm correct will only put the original sounds, styles etc back on the keyboard. Ideas?

Well you can reinstall the OS (Operating System). I'm getting more and more hangups when the sounds freez and I can't get it to stop without turning it of. It happens in several situation and with one style and changing sound it happens every time I do the same thing and I turned it of every time and still did the same error happen.

Jacob ... If your problem occurs every time you do the same thing, you are actually lucky, because that SHOULD be easier to diagnose ... Go here to contact KORG customer service ...
http://www.korg.com/ContactInfo

Fill out the box and tell them what the problem is and how/when it occurs ... I have had the 'freeze' problem after working on setting up styles for particular songs and trying various sounds with it, but this usually occurs only after working for a couple of hours ...
The last time I had the freeze problem I hit the 'START' button and the style started to play ... the freeze then unlocked itself without my having to turn the board off and on ...

If you look at page 9 of the Quick Guide PDF (English version), there is a panic sequence (Shift + Start/Stop buttons). this resets frozen notes and controllers. You could try this before switching off and back on. Jerry, I think I may have had the problem you are describing. Could you go through the sequence which leads to the problem a little more clearly. Are you talking about an MP3 song or a midi song or a style?

I don´t understand exactely what you mean but one question - why doesn´t you use performances instead of changing sounds from upper1-3?

If you play live and use STS1-4 - STS is a special kind of performances - so if you need more - create the performances you need and store then in the user area for performances and then you´ve direct access to them and they´re really working in the way you want.

Maybe for better explanation of your problem - record it with a video and post link here that we can see what you exactely mean.

Next time you get muted do the following :
Follow path Global/Audio & EQ: Limiter/ and turn off limiter/EQ module !
If confirmed , not a bug either hope to be improved by firmware , since same status has been confirmed
in Pa3X from time to time !

My apologies for not being clearer. I have had this sound problem when loading one of my recorded songs. I did call Korg and they told me to do a factory restore (after doing a backup of factory resources) then reload what you previously had on the board. He wasn't sure how much of the board would be reset but he said if that didn't take care of the problem to bring the board in for servicing. But I'm thinking that since one or two of you have had the same issue that it may just be something that has to be solved with a new software version. But I will monitor this as I did a factory restore.
