...still waiting for my PA600 to arrive..
I know you can alter the split keyboard octave up down on the right side of the split keyboard BUT can you do the same with single sound of the left ...to lower the strings or whatever down an octave..
Could do this on my previous Yamaha psr....!

Yes you can.

Select a Style.

If you are in EASY MODE then select the MIXER button on the LCD screen. Now select the TUNING tab at the bottom of the screen. Now adjust OCT. TRANSPOSE to lower or raise the octave of you LOWER voice.

If you are not in EASY MODE the select a style and then press the MENU button below your value wheel. Then select MIXER TUNING and follow the instructions above.

The OCT TRANSPOSE setting can be set differently for each STS 1 thru 4. You will need to use WRITE SINGLE TOUCH SETTING (upper right hand corner drop down menu on LCD) to save each STS after you change any setting. You will need to go to GLOBAL > MODE PREFERENCES > MEDIA and unlock the Factory Style and Pad Protect if you want to make changes to Factory Styles.

This is the edit page you want ...
