I have three questions
1. when i load a .SET file onto my PA600 the earlier loaded or saved files are erased.. How can I prevent that?
2. Should I load the global folder while uploading new .Set folders?
3. also when I upload a .set folder will my saved 'performances' be erased?

Try drilling down through the .SET file to only load those resources you want. In other words, OPEN the .SET file rather than LOADing it. Then OPEN any directories in the .SET, etc etc.
I wouldn't load the GLOBAL unless I was 100% sure that all the settings in there were one's I wanted.
A .SET file could overwrite everything in your machine.
From the English manual page 160 ...
Select the “.SET” folder containing the data you wish to load, and touch Open to open the “.SET” folder. A list of User data appears (Global, Performance, SongBook, Sounds, Style…). _________________ ”It’s easy to play any musical instrument: all you have to do is touch the right key at the right time and the instrument will play itself.”
