Hi Sharp,
Thanks for the offer of a video. Perhaps I gave the wrong impression, but to be clear I had absolutely no issues loading the user bank - decompressed and loaded first time, no problems.
Really is a great bank, am thinking I might do something similar with the JV80 if there's an appetite.
Thanks,

Well the D50 was my dream synth. I never had the opportunity to have one and oddly my first synth ever was the Kronos. That said I have to try and load these. Is everything I need to know about loading these in the disc section of the OP? |

Curious what is the difference between the
D-50.KSC and D-50_UserBank.KSC
And D-50PCG and D50_UserBank.PCG
I have the same errors as the others have had. Been pouring through the OP and PG but have no idea where I went wrong. |

Just recorded a video.
Give me a moment and I'll upload this.

Thanks Sharp!
Sure seems like this should have been a simple straight forward thing.
Interesting I got some to play but I think it referenced the wrong samples? not sure. I noticed none of the Kmp or kfs were loaded so I tried to do it individually but that took way to much space up and I didn't see how to load it to the sad. I was in disk mode. So I have since gone back and removed everything.
I will give it another go later. |

My problem is getting it from the thumb drive to the hdd. Great vid it clears up what my problem was and I will try again when I get home. Thanks! |

Ah, well there ya go.
You can only stream from the internal Solid State Drive. Streaming requires very fast disk access and high transfer rates. None of which a thumb drive has.
Go to the Utilities page in disk mode. If you press the tab in the top right, you can use the copy option to copy the library from the thumb drive to your internal solid state.
Regards

Thanks for the video Sharp.
Unfortunately its still problems.
I have copied the D-50 folder and the two userbank files to my ssd in kronos, and when I try to load D-50_Userbank.PCG with the settings you show in the video, I get this error:

Hi Synthee.
Two things pop out at me.
1: You most certainly don't even have enough free RAM. You need 244MB and you only have 175MB free. So you need to free up more RAM.
2: I don't believe you have copied all the data over that was in the download. If you did, the KRONOS would tell you exactly how much RAM you need to free up. Because it's reporting a value of 0, that strongly suggests to me you didn't copy the data into the KRONOS correctly.
Regards

Strange, I only have the factory sounds, and 64 Polysix sounds in my Kronos, nothing else that I know?
Maybe I've done something in the past that still takes up memory?
How free up more RAM?
Edit: Ok now I found a YouTubefilm that show how to.
And its correct I only got 174 MB free.
I thought that it was much more free with only factory sounds installed, but that's obviously not the case.
So I will try to take awaya som e of the sounds and try again with the D50 sounds.
Ill be back! |

There's an option in Global mode to unload an EXs.
If you do that, you will free up RAM. Next time you reboot the KRONOS, the data you unloaded will be reloaded. So there's no risk of loosing anything.
Question for you.
Have you got a basic KRONOS that has not been upgraded or something? The amount of free RAM you have is extremely low for what little amount of data your actually running.
Regards
