OK, so i want to play Herbie's Chamelion live, by myself.. and I don't want to play the bass part (the song starts with) .. I want the bass part to play by itself - freeing me up to play the other parts. So to do this, I recorded the bass part in Seq mode and put the loop feature ON ... but when I want to STOP the bass part, the drum beat stops with it. So, my question is, is there a way to stop the bass part and keep the drum beat going? Is SEQ mode the best place for me to be?
Thanks !

You could just mute the SEQ track that has the bass part, letting the seq continue to play the drums.

Cheers

Convert the Part to RPPR Pattern and Assign it to a key.
That key will trigger the part ,and lowest C will stop it.

you could also move the drum track to RRPR too, thus giving you full control over them.
