Hi folks,
i had a look thru this site but i could not seem to find one dedicated to the Poly 61 (or Poly 6) synth.
Is this site more to do with MODERN day Korg products ?? If so, does anyone know if there are any sites online which are regularly visited by owners of the likes of the Korg Poly 61 ??
i was thinking of buying a vintage Korg polyphonic synth and wanted to have a bit of an in-depth discussion about a few things with any expert current or pre owners.
Thanks a lot guys !!
Best,

Thanks X-Trade,
The MonoPoly and PolySix seem to be way more expensive than the Poly61 ?? Yet the Poly61 is NEWER and therefore (i would have assumed) more sophisticated ??

Generally the '61 is considered harsher sounding (more low-fi) than the poly6.
Also the '6 has all of the sound editing controls on the front panel whilst the '61 has a more modern (and frankly more frustrating to program, less hands-on) matrix style programming interface where you select the parameter you want to edit and then turn the data entry knob to change the value.
I've never owned one but do get the impression it's a good synth, but the polysix and mono/poly are definitely more sought after classics hence commanding a much higher price (and also both immortalised in the software Legacy Collection) _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

Thats great X-Trader,
i did not know that MATRIX was a term used for the type of synth where you select a parameter and then dial up the value you want.
What does LO FI mean please ?? i never understood this term ??
i think there is some mention that the Poly61 has a different type (or maybe just a single) Oscillator ??
And you say the Poly61 is 'harsher' sounding than its formers.
Cheers,
