Hi all.
I am NOT the keyboarder...

Our keyboarder just bought the KingKorg.

He needs the famous 'Roland D-50 Fantasia' sound for our live set... he's loosing a lot of time and driving us crazy...

Anyone of you willing to share that patch or to create it for me so that I can send it to him?

Demo can be heard here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Lh6Zk_YN60

Thank you!

Why would anyone use a virtual analog synth for this kind of sound???

I understand your question, however the original song was written and performed almost 20 years ago. No D50 in his rig anymore, and we have to play a song with that sound...
Other keyboards in his rig are a Korg Krome and a Kurzweil PC3K7, however the solo with that sound should be played on the top keyboard as the left hand is playing chord on a lower keyboard.

I don't know if this sound is available on the Krome or Kurz, but probably something similar. And your keyboarder could simply use the midi out of his KK to play the sound on one of the other synths (keysplit there), if he needs the KK keybed for playing.

The Krome is General MIDI compatible. Fantasia is program 089 in the GM bank.
