|
|
I borrowed a friends EM-1. I've never used it so I downloaded the manual. I'm trying to delete songs so I can start from scratch but it is driving me nuts because its not working (or obviously more likely; I'm not doing it right!!!).
The manual says to hit the song button, hold the shift button, press button 13 once so it blinks and then hit it again. I do that and nothing seems to happen and when I press play, the song keeps playing as before.
What am I doing wrong? |

When you say "song", do you really mean "pattern?" |

You will need to turn off the 'memory protect' in the global settings or as Ted3000 is asking above are you maybe erasing a song then playing a pattern and perhaps confusing the two? |

Apologies if I am literaly barging into the discussion without any proper introductions nor more pleasant first posts to this board, but I needed to get this going up again:
You will need to turn off the 'memory protect' in the global settings or as Ted3000 is asking above are you maybe erasing a song then playing a pattern and perhaps confusing the two?
It may appear to be a bug in the EM-1. After all, I have spent literally a 60 minute chunk of time also attempting to erase songs in the memory, but to no avail.
Global mode protection was turned OFF.
In song mode: YES.
It would appear that the instruction manual is lacking a crutial part of the information, because as bedoolaa wrote: "The manual says to hit the song button, hold the shift button, press button 13 once so it blinks and then hit it again. I do that and nothing seems to happen and when I press play, the song keeps playing as before."
If anyone has any informtion reguarding how to actually erase songs in the EM-1, please share your knowledge! |
