When I am setting up a song I am having a problem naming STS3 and STS4. For example if I set up STS1 as Piano & Strings I will name it Pno/Str. I can then write it to STS2 no problem. Then if I want to bring in Ensemble on STS3 I can make the setting change and then write it to STS3 and STS4 this time naming it Pno/Str Ens. The settings will be saved but the name change will not, it actually has the same name of STS 1 or STS2.

If I reboot, STS4 seems to be correctly named, but not STS3. However if I select STS4 and then write it to STS3, his time it correctly retains the name.

Any ideas?

Graham,
I don't have a solution to your issue but it seems like the PA900 OS gets confused very easily. I am about to do a backup and a complete system reset to see if that cures some of the "funky" things I have observed. I'll keep you updated about the results. I sure hope Korg sees these posts and takes them seriously.

Graham,
Did you do a reset and reload your resources?
I found this did cure some of the "glitches" I was experiencing.

I did a factory reset to work on my Screen problem. This has not helped the Songbook STS Name problem. It seems to be when you are renaming an STS within a song. It just will not take the change. However, when you restart the keyboard, the new name may be there.

Graham,
I created the Songbook I sent to Bill and you and also did change many of the OTS voices with no problem at all. I still believe Korg has a faulty OS on these first run PA900 keyboards.

What I did was save all my setups in the favorites area and from there I made any changes I wanted and they all saved with no issues at all.

Deane, the problem is with renaming the STS, not the actual voices used. I agree, it saves any changes to voices, styles, tracks etc. with no problem.

Oh, I thought you were simply making OTS changes.
