Quote: | the Wavestation multisample bank already present in Kronos would definitely be a good place to start |
One thing at a time. The wavestation is a different animal from the M1. Hmmm, a WaveStation conversion program in the future.........?[/quote]
Hi sunriser111671, it's fantastic that you are trying to make this converter, thanks for your efforts and for sharing it with the community
Regarding the above statement about the WS samples in the Kronos, what X-Trade was trying to say is that, since all WS samples are present in the Kronos, it would be a good place to start to look for equivalent M1 samples, as the WS shares a lot of the same samples present in the M1/T3, it's just a question of comparing to see witch ones are identical to the M1. The problem is that you have do compare by ear because a lot of samples are the same or very identical, but the names are different between the WS and M1.
Since Korg has put in all the WS samples, they could as easily have put the M1/T3 samples in too. It's not that it would have taken that much space.
EDIT: BTW regarding the samples you posted, i also think that Sample 2 is the kronos, but they are a bit short to be totally sure. However i think i like sample 2 better Great job never the less _________________ ________________________________________

Oh wow, I didn't realize that! If so, that makes things damn exciting because then I could use those references in my program automatically.
Keep me posted on your progress, X-Trade!
Thanks
Oh, and the original M1 I used in my 2 samples was not manipulated in any way other than having the FX turned off.
So that's 2 votes for sample 1 as the actual M1...... |

I am about halfway through sampling all the waveforms on the M1. Combined with a M1 to Kronos converter program that loads sysex, you would have a complete M1 in your Kronos.
Was the converter finished? Where can I get it?
Thanks!

Thanks sunriser111671 for the program, but I tried to download v.0.51, but a link is dead (too much time passed from uploading). Can you please reupload v.0.51 again, or some other revision, if you made it in mean time. I have one question, I don't have Korg M1 and I don't know anybody who has it, how I can get SYX program files.
Is it possible that you share (upload SYX program) this too. Thanks for all your effort and attention. _________________ Pedja
