Oh my, what a mature, insightful and well thought out post(s) as all who responded treated each other with extreme respect.

Kudos.

I learned a few things too though.
I help others frequently, but rarely ask questions. Maybe because I love the manuals, the challenge, the quest for knowledge regardless of how much reading is involved.
This is probably why there is some expectation for a thank you.

I believe there are too many people getting involved in digital recording and electronic music who are not really ready for the depth of the technology. Many being teens who have not yet (may never) learned the in's and out's of public discourse considering I meet the same people in public who have a lack of courtesy. Some merely by accident, but others who knowingly discount the rights of others.

I think social communications are going through a Renaissance with all the cellphones and devices we are learning to live with and with all of the international musicians trying to start a conversation on an English speaking forum.

The world is getting smaller still.
