Oh Lordy! Gotta save the cash now...
Hope it is worth the hype!
Liked the Minibrute, but liked the Novation Bass Station II better.
The blurred pics look old semi-modular MS-20 looking?
What do you guys think?

I've read the quotes. I've had enough of this praising synths with no presets. Typically that means NO PATCH RECALL. Useless as a live synth for most performers.

I can totally understand the wonderful creative journey forced upon us by lack of (factory) presets, but this is 2013 and patch recall was invented over 20 years ago.

I guess from the manufacturer's point of view, they are likely to sell more units to keyboardists who will once again need 'one keyboard per sound'.

I'm sticking to digital, hybrid, and proper professional gear.

Microbrute $299.00 (apparently)

Yet another micro synth... when will they realise that there are musicians out there with normal sized fingers. Grrrr

That seems weird. There's really no reason to give it only one oscillator if it's a VA.

Actually if you google Microbrute and Yves Usson (the guy who designed the analog innards of the Minibrute) the first is a link to an apparent Arturia product page where he is mentioned again. It's behind a login so you can't actually get there but I would count that as a hint that it's a real analog.

Actually it's not so bad for an entry level analog synth for someone who is just getting started and doesn't have a lot of money.

It has a multi-wave oscillator to experiment with mixing wave forms, a filter, LFO, EG, Sequencer, mod matrix and a few other things.

I don't want one but I bet it will take some sales away from other low cost synths like the Volka's or even the MS20 mini.

Alright , i take it back. It looks real & these guys think so too... http://stereoklang.se/blog/is-this-a-le ... microbrute

This is exactly the kind of thing that's going to cause a fat stir. Loads of people are gonna slate this as a pointless move ! Personally, i like it !

I like the minibrute best out of all the analogue mono's over the last few years & if this new one is a scaled down little brother....I want one. :D
It will be almost nothing new but there are two features worth a look namely that sequencer & that patch panel. Teasing buggers, c'mon & show us already.

Personally, I don't care for a scaled down minibrute - I own one already and love it and wouldn't need a smaller version. However, for people who didn't get one, this could be a nice small synth to own. And it will definitely compete with the Volcas (and if you think about it, its the same price as the keys+bass).

Now the next question is will it have midi in/out?
