Has anyone ever Talkboxed w/the Kingkorg yet? It's suppose to be the upgrade to the MS2000/Microkorg(that many ppl talkbox on), I just haven't seen a video yet. Does anyone know if this Synth will give the same effect/quality Talkboxing as the others(MS2000/Microkorg) did?
Thanks _________________ Music-Mann |

as far as i know, the talkbox effect cannot be faithfully reproduced on a king korg as the king korg only has a vocoder.
the talk box has a long tube coming out through which sound is played. you put the tube in your mouth and make vocal gestures to "talk" out the sound, into a microphone for re-amplification.
vocoders are different in that they modulate the frequency information of one source (synth), with the amplitude information of another (vox). |

You could just use a talkbox with the KingKorg. They're really simple to build apparently, so probably not hard to find one to buy either.
Talkboxing works best with fairly simple but rich sounds (like sawtooth, distortion, etc.) so you should have no problem with using the KingKorg or even any other synth for this.. _________________ Current Gear: Kronos 61, RADIAS-R, Volca Bass, ESX-1, microKorg, MS2000B, R3, Kaossilator Pro +, MiniKP, AX3000B, nanoKontrol, nanoPad MK II,

I use a Rocktron Banshee Talkbox with my Microkorg to record a lot of vocals. It's really fun to use and awesome if you aren't a great single like me ha. I assume the set up would be the same for the Kingkorg. I will link to a few of my covers below where I use the talkbox and Microkorg Vocoder. The Coldplay cover links to the talkbox patch in the description. Thanks!
