Greetings Fellow microSTATION users,
I really like my keyboard.. I did search the forum but did not see any posts regarding this..
I hadn't used my microstation in a few months and when I turned it on, I get the startup screen that normally says Korg MicroSTATION and then the Version number, except, it looks more like this.. KORG MicroSTATION V/././ and it will go no futher..
I bought this unit about 2 years ago and it never leaves my studio.
I can put it in Update mode when I turn it on, I can see it make a USB connection but the update software does not do anything..
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Anton Flint |

microSTATION_OG_E2.pdf manual page 11

3. Press the rear panel Power switch to turn off the
power.
The display will indicate “Now executing” while
data is being written to internal memory. Never
turn off the power during this procedure.
If you turn off the power during this process,
writing to memory cannot be completed normally.
In this case, the microSTATION might fail to
operate correctly when you turn the power on
again.
If this occurs, proceed as follows to initialize the
microSTATION’s internal memory.
1. Power‐off the microSTATION.
2. While holding down the PLAY/MUTE button
and the function 08 button, turn on the
microSTATION.
The microSTATION will be initialized, and
internal memory will be written. The display
will indicate “Initializing...” during this time.
After initializing, you’ll need to load the preload
data. For details, refer to (“Loading the
preloaded data”p.63).
Note: Initialization will require approximately 30
seconds to be completed
|
Do the initializing few times and power on/off with at least 30sec off state, if it still doesn't boot further there is no use to connect pc usb, otherwise mS is just defective! |
