In the manual when it says that the 'lifespan is not uniform', I was wondering what that meant. I know it probably lasts for a while, but should I hold off on using it a lot? It sounds great with the output driven.

Vacuum tubes will wear out or just blow when they are ready. It may last 1 or 2 years if driven hard continuously which is what I would be doing.

LOL @ "...Including replacement of the vacuum tube, must be performed by a professional." I don't want to do this every 1 or 2 years. This is the only thing stopping me from buying a KingKorg.

Vacuum tubes should be user accessible with out voiding the warranty. I would buy one if I could change it myself. Fun thing with the wide variety of tubes available is you can buy different brands for different types of warmth and tone.

Also be careful when you turn the KingKorg off, to let the tube cool down before moving it.

The vaccuum tube in my Triton Extreme still works after many years, but I don't know if it's comparable to the tube in the KingKorg.

Thanks. I had a Marshall tube amp a long time ago, and that tube went out after maybe a couple of months, but I don't know how long it was in there(I got it used). I know that's not unusual for an amp though.

It seems that everything that has something to be changed or fixed has that "must be serviced by a pro" message. But with this it looks as though the entire bottom panel has to come off. But I'm guessing they wouldn't have put it in there if it needed to be changed very often at all, if it did there would be some kind of access panel or something.

Afaik the tube in the Korg (at least Triton) is not used as amplifier but more like preamp and those are probably not pressured as much as a speaker tube amp.
