Not sure how much as been done to it by the previous owner, patch-wise, but thought I'd give it a go before doing a reset.

I'm excited by all the posts and reviews about this keyboard. I can't afford to buy a room full of synthesizers so this will fill the need. In the 80s I was in several bands locally and had access to Junos, Jupiters, Moog, an old mellotron, wurlizter 200a, farfisa organ, DX7 and I owned a Juno 106, a Ensoniq Mirage DSK and a Casio CZ1000 as my set up. I miss those sounds!

Hope to be a contributor here soon as I re-learn synthesis, it's been 30 years! Smile

Its a sweet board, really easy to use.

I've probably already logged a couple hundred hours at mine.

That's great to hear! I mainly got it for simplicity. I find often I want a sound that I hear in my head and just don't always know how to find it on the Krome. I may be getting rid of the Krome after I dive into this one!

once you are familiar with the oscillators and filters it should only take a few moments to put together the sound you "imagined" though no keyboard is limitless... unless you own a kronos Wink which defeats the simplicity purpose.

So far it's everything I've been lead to believe it is! Like having a room full of synths of all brands! Simple to learn it's basic interface but I can tell I can go deeper as I learn.

I'm having trouble letting the Krome go for the things that it does so well. It's nice to sit and play and have Arps and drums easily accessible. I'm hoping to just keep them both. I feel a little weird that all three of my keyboards are KORG after many many years of only owning Roland, or lesser brands in the 80s like casio and ensoniq. I never got into the Korgs back in the day. Now with the SV1, it's the best vintage rhodes and wurli I've ever played, the Krome is a band in a box and the KingKorg is like having that room full of analog synths.... Bases covered, so to speak!

Thanks for all your help!

I always wondered how it would feel to play my KK with an SV1, though my next board will probably be a kronos or successor. (kinda set in the ways of keyboards for a while with the kk, my computer, and a weighted 8Cool
