Hi,
This post is in case anyone makes the mistake of plugging a Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS) to TRS plug from their volca beats to some other music gear's input.
I was only using the headphone jack with headphones for months. Then I plugged into my digital mixer and noticed a low volume. It was due to the jacks I was using as stated above.
You need to use Tip Sleeve (TS) or a combination of TS and TRS.
Here is a video (1:14) of the different jacks to use in order not to cancel your sound at its destination (input).

Holy cow! Thank you! Just switched my cables out and the difference is astounding. I couldn't figure out what the problem was. I had been boosting the gain and cranking the level on my mixer to near max for the drums. No more! They are alive again. |
