|
|
Hi all,
First time poster here. I purchased a used Triton Classic about two months ago, but just yesterday I noticed keys were not functioning at all. All of the keys worked fine when I bought it and nothing happened to it. They just stopped working.
I took it apart, thinking it may just be dirty contacts. I didn't find anything but it was a bit dusty. While it was lying face down and still opened, I sprayed it with compressed air and began to press the problem keys. They worked for a couple of minutes, but soon stopped again. I then used some contact cleaner and, again, they seemed to work for a few minutes the stopped again.
I called a local Korg service center and they suspect it to be a bad connection somewhere. It is not under warranty, so it will be pricey for them to even look at it. The tech said he wouldn't even get to it for another 2-3 weeks. I'd rather not wait that long. I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron and may be able to fix it myself if I knew where to look for the problem.
Here are a couple of pictures. The marked keys are the ones that do not work. The black keys in between do not work, either. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
