Hello.

I bought my Kross less than a week ago, but I'm quite experienced with midi and workstations albeit mostly my trusty old m1 which I bought when they first came out....and a bit of cakewalk, Garageband, etc.

So I am recording the drum bass and organ tracks of "Joker and the Thief" by Wolfmother. I am playing everything including the drum parts.
It has gone well except that I cannot figure out how to punch in and punch out.

I found "Track Edit" and set the bars I want to record, but it doesn't do anything. I still have to go to the first page of the sequencer to set my measure, and while I can manually punch in at that point, I cannot punch out and the remainder of the track will be erased. Even if I manually stop the recording it will still not be a punch out, and all remaining bars are erased.
Obviously this is rather frustrating. Especially when the mistake is a quantizing issue that I cannot know occurred until playback.

I checked the pdf manual and while it cheerfully says this can be done, it doesn't seem to explain how to do it.

A major reason I purchased the Kross is I am a private music teacher. I have several student rock bands, and sometimes organizing several kids schedules can be a nightmare, not to mention colds and flu's and sports and whatnot, so sometimes a member of a band is absent. This has even happened for concert performances. I thought if I pre-record all the parts, I can use the Kross to replace any missing kids from band class, so long as they manage to stay in sync with it.

I think it will work well, but I really need to know how to punch out so any detailed explanation is appreciated (plus often when I surrender and ask for help, I promptly figure it out myself!....here's hoping!)
