Hi,

I am not sure what is the part number, but I need 2 potentiometers for Korg Electribe EMX-1 Smart Media version.

I am posting links for couple of photos I made with some comments.

Basically, there is two knobs, one for EFFECT, and one for SYNTH OSCILLATOR (I circled them in the photo). When turning these, they should not rotate smoothly without stops. Each one of them has 16 stops, for each value listed around the knob. When I opened my Electribe, I found out that these potentiometers have 5 contact feet, and just for size comparison, I included another photo where I put a standard size scotch tape wheel around it.

I'd appreciate if someone could let me know what is the part's name/number I need.

They do still work, but sometimes in between steps I've noticed values go crazy until knob settles at the next stop. These two are the only ones I am having this issue, everything else works perfectly fine.

This is how potentiometers look like:

And this is for size comparison:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

EDIT: I found this one, but not 100% sure it's the right one... but sure looks like the one from my photos:

Just my 2 cents...

You may find code numbers printed on the back of the pot once you unsolder it.

Thanks for your reply... unfortunately, since everything is still working I'd say OK, I don't want to do that since I don't have replacement pots sitting here and ready to install. I'd render my machine unusable if I take the old ones out while I don't have new ones ready to go in.

That's what I was hoping, that someone already did that in the past, or maybe someone who has the list or chart of what parts are used in EMX.

Anyway, I got confirmation from the seller (guitar-parts.com, "parts is parts"), that these from the picture are the correct ones I need. I've ordered them yesterday, and they already shipped them out. I bought the last ones in stock, and now they're out of stock. Good timing on my part Smile They even updated that page, and now EMX-1 is also listed:

These are the pots that can be turned indefinitely, but they have 16 stops, just like I need. They also come with 5 contact feet.

Same ones are being used in Korg AX300B (second from the left largest dial on the top):

...and R3 which can be seen in this photo (the largest dial on the unit):
