I have a Korg Krome and a very nice Asus XONAR Essence STX sound card that boasts big fat in and outputs and SNR and all that. But when I plug my korg into it and enable "listen to this device", there's nearly a half second latency between me striking a note and it playing through the PC speakers. There's no way I can record effectively with that going on. I'm sure there's a simple well known fix, and you audiophiles here will probably get a good laugh at my incompetence, but PLEASE HELP!

I've looked everywhere online, and all the advice I find refers to fixing latency in specific programs during recording, but that's not even my problem.
