Hi forum members,
My name is Helmut and I am new in this forum. I'm from Germany and my language will be a little strange sometimes. I apologize for this right here in my first post.
My keyboard skills are still very limited because I started to play a keyboard a few months ago when I bought my PA 900.
Now, here is my first question:
You can set in “Global|General Controls|Interface” your preferred language. As a German I selected “German” of course but I cannot see any changes in the user interface. So my question is: What is this language setting good for?
I hope anybody can help and I am looking forward to many interesting discussions.

Well the "Help" button should bring up help in German for one.
No way you can change all the printed writing on the face of the instrument with the push of a button - sorry. |

Hi Billy,

OOOPs! Sorry, that button is on the Pa3X just under the Standby Button.
I had the Pa900 before getting the Pa3X and I do get them mixed up some times because they have very similar operating systems and modes.
The Pa900 Manual is a pretty good information source tho, but once you get used to where everything is located in the system, it boils down to remembering the MENU button and that it changes with each Mode you are in relative to those actions you might want to accomplish while in each Mode.
I wish I could offer you more on this.

Hi Bill,
No reason to be sorry. I'm glad that my Key misses a button .
You are right, the manual is very informativ. However, it's as well available in English only. I get along with it but it would be nice to have something in my mother tongue.
So, the question remains: What is the language setting good for? It seems, that it is some left over from earlier operating systems and has no meaning at all in the PA900.

Helmut,
Surely there is a German Language version available in Germany or on one of the German forums??
There is one company that even produced there own version of the operating system - search for Korg Musikant. Lots of things on u-Tube. |

Hi Bill,
your statements and posts are all true for the PA3x but for the PA900 I couldn't find anything in German. However, your link lead me to the manuel "KORG Pa3X MUSIKANT Handbuch ADVANCED EDIT v1.00 (ENG)" where the sampling is described in some detail.
So, thanks for your reply and the link.
