Hello Everyone, this is my first post here. I'm from Brazil and I'm having some trouble finding some answers around.

I am a drummer and I have a EMX that I want to use while I'm playing drums. For example: I'd like to hit on a external pad (or a pedal) and the sound mapped on Drum Part 1 play once.

I play metalcore in my band and I want to use the EMX to fire some extreme bassdrops during the song.

Could anyone help me with this situation?

Does that external pad or a pedal have a midi interface?

Hey _INTER_!
I don't have a pad or a pedal yet. What do I need to do to make all this idea to work?

It needs to send Midi data and you need a Midi cable.

If you'd have to do this, how would you do it? I mean, which equipments and etc. Thanks!

I reckon you need something like this:

http://www.alesis.com/controlpad
and
http://www.thomann.de/de/miditech_midilinkmini.htm or midi-to-midi cable

then you connect midi to EMX and usb to the Drumpad. Set channel to 1-5 for emx-synth or channel 10 for emx-drums. (There's a list what pad notenumber equals what drumpart).
