I've tried recording the ESX on a Boss recorder, with mixed results. If I record a pattern with many parts, it seems to not be able to handle the full spectrum of sounds. Basses, even by themselves, don't go over so well.
Anyway I have some things to experiment with and see how to work it out with my setup, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips, or what their experience were on this topic regarding gear or setups. |

Have a look at the sticky above on 'clean and powerful sounds on the Electribes'. Also you may want to look at perhaps getting a compressor- I would suggest you look at something like a second hand Alesis 3630. |

Yes, I was thinking about one of those. I have a mixer with 3 band EQ so was thinking I could find an ideal balance with that and the gain and input levels of the ESX and the recorder, but a compressor might be more effective. We'll see.
Thanks for the feedback. |
