|
|
Hi everyone.
I just got a Volca Sample and am loving it - but I want to chain sequences together to make more-than-16-step patterns, and the manual just makes no sense to me on this - I can 'choose' my saved patterns with the STEP key, but it seems to have no relation to what the SAMPLE selector does, and putting it into ACTIVE STEP mode seems to have no relation to song mode either. And trying to save a pattern into a song slot (S1 to S6) does nothing!
I know I'm being a little thick here - would anyone be able to take me through the process step by step? I'm fine saving individual patterns...
Muchos gracias. |

It's a little complicated, but I'll try to help you out!
So first you will want to load up one of the 6 song slots - Hold memory and S1 through S6 on the sequencer to pick which one to load.
Okay, so now you'll see part buttons lit up on the bottom. When you touch the corresponding pad you will see a number on the display...for example if you touch the first slot you'll see 01.01 or a similar number. That corresponds to which pattern is loaded up in the song mode. So in this case, the first part would be your first patter. You can choose which pattern you want with the black sample knob, 1-10. So it would say 01.05 if you wanted to start with your 5th pattern.
You can choose how many patterns you want (up to 16) by going into active step mode and and touching the pads to turn them on. So if I want all 16 parts, I'll have to make sure all 16 parts are on and then using the black sample selector, choose the order of the patterns.
Hope that helps, let me know if you have any further questions! |
