There are a few ways of doing this but one is to record in CM7 (Cmaj7)
The arranger will then process 7ths and other chords more accurately.
Cheers

Actually you can record a new Style in ANY key you like. You would just need to set the transposing parameter for each track to the proper key.
Say you've recorded a style in the key of Ebm. Then, you would have to set the key for each style track to Ebm so when you play a chord progression in real time , each chord will be transposed properly. In other words you have to tell the keyboard what key the Style is recorded in, otherwise the keyboard will automatically assume the main key is the key of C which will mess up the chord progression in Style mode. _________________ Sam

I am also getting stuck. When recording a new style or editing the existing one. The Drum and Perc seem by default stuck on C Major. Is there a way to change this? I am recording a style which will be used for a song in G# Major.
I started with recording the piano on G# major. Later on i added the Drums based on the default key C Major. On testing the new style, the piano now is on C

Drums and Percussions are non-pitched instruments. They're not set to any key. For Pitched Percussion instruments such as Timpani, you would need to use a different channel. If you set your drum and percussion track type to "drums" you won't have any transposition problem with them, which means you can play your ACC tracks in any key and drum/percussion tracks will always sound the same...I might record a video on this when I get a chance. _________________ Sam

Hi,
I could not find a way to insert a measure in front of a recorded Intro. In style edit mode, it only give the options of Cut, Copy, Delete, Delete All and do not have Insert option. Do you know if there is a way to insert a measure into an already recorded track such as Intro or Ending?
Thanks. |

I don't have the keyboard in front of me, so can't tell you for sure right now. I don't remember if there is a way of doing that in Style Record mode though. I think you would have to export the Intro as SMF (midi) and edit it in Sequencer mode. Then, import it back in there.
I could be wrong about this. Maybe there's a way that I don't remember. I know you can INCREASE the CV length/Record length, which adds bars. You could probably experiment with that too to see what happens.
It would take few seconds to do this in an external sequencer. _________________ Sam
