I'm getting a Wavedrum Global soon and would appreciate some help with a few basic questions (drummer, completely new to the world of amps, pedals, recording equipment!)

I'd like to play along with loops, so am thinking of this pedal: http://www.thomann.de/ie/digitech_jamman_solo_xt.htm

Is it possible to record from the Wavedrum/loop pedal set up straight into Logic on my Macbook or do I need an interface? If so, what would suit?

Also, what cables are required for this set up? A standard guitar lead from Wavedrum to pedal, another from the pedal to the amp...? And is a guitar amp suitable?

Thanks Smile

Yep, 2 guitar cables in and 2 guitar cables out.
Guitar amps have a limited frequency response so all you'll hear is midrange.

A stereo mixer going into a stage monitor or P.A. speaker will work best. A keyboard amp is second best result.

The Wavedrum has a very wide dynamic range. More than most other drum trigger units. You can easily overload the inputs on a mixer or the looper you've linked to so keep the input levels low until you get used to playing it.
