Hi all,
Just looking to see if anyone has tackled 80s synth sounds, particularly lead sound on DM just can't get enough. I have a JP 50 which does these very well, but am looking to change to kronos as my top board- kronos has many advantages over Jupiter, but struggling with this kind of sound
Any pointers welcome

Member Burning Busch did a bunch of classic synth patches. You can find them in a thread here or google his own site "The Kronos Blog".
Also, in the download section of this forum, in the Oasys part, there is a bunch of vintage synth sounds done by Kevin Nolan. The Kronos reads those files directly.

Depending on what you're looking for with "80s", the Kronos also imports DX7 presets stored in SysEx format. There's a collection on the net with some 40,000 sounds.

You might want to wait until after Winter NAMM. It sounds like the Kronos is out of production, so you may be able to get one cheaper when they announce the next one, or get the new workstation they're replacing it with.

Check out the EXs76 Platinum stack grand library. It makes any song you play sound like the 80's! Smile

If someting is defitely not missing on the Kronos, it is stack piano sounds: either you take one of them or make your own within five minutes.
