I would like to use some sort of foot trigger, whether its the kick trigger from an electronic kit or any kind of thing that's easy to tap repeatedly, to operate the kick drum in my volca beats presumably through some kind of midi connection.

However I know barely anything about this sort of thing, cause I'm just getting started with synths. If anyone could help me figure out if this is possible and what I'd need to do it that would be very much appreciated.
