Both are free.
- the Karo soundbank has a lot of classic synth sounds, with some well useable ones in there
- the "Analog Icons" is anything but what the name says, but anyways: it's free and it contains a few interesting patches as well

I'm really glad to get that life sign for the KK from Korg!
I had already resigned concerning that.

Thanks to Korg: the KK really needs more quality/signature patches to stay in the market!

Mostly whats been posted on the board, using the librarian i've swapped some of the less impressive presets on the KK. Not saying that most of the presets aren't usable right off the bat though.

Still haven't had the chance to check these out.

You know the usual holiday madness

Can these sounds be imported one at a time, instead of overwriting everything.

you can load the whole bank you downloaded into the librarian, select a program, go to file, save program data: you just saved ONE program alone, repeat as needed, then you could load one program at a time. The librarian misses some functions, but with a little ptractice there are workaround, time consuming, but better than nothing.

Note that you can export as midi dump one program at a time to sysex software or you daw (create a midifile)

It's even more easy:

after loading the new bank into the librarian, you can use the "write program data" option in the "Kingkorg" menu to write one program you like into the Kingkorg.

And there's a third way to do it directly with the KK:
When you click a program in the librarian with a KK connected, that program is written into a temporary buffer in the KK automatically (so you can play it). Now you can just press "write" at the KK, and write the program to a program slot of your choice.

I just heard about these soundbanks now. I have tried them, and all I want to say is a Big Thank You, Korg! There are wonderful, high quality, versatile and loveable sounds in there, together with a sound demo (KApro) and a very useful documentation. This gift really helps a lot, and increases the value of our great instrument.

Thank you very much, Sirs: Kurt Ader, Steve Levine, Luke Edwards, Rudi Golba, and all at Korg.

Best regards,

Akos
