The eternal problem (on OASYS - even worse) - not enough banks to store programs. In the end - we live in the XXI century, we use sophisticated machines, which have great potential. But one of the most basic and easily implemented (I think so) properties - the number of seats for program storage - enough! Korg promotes and encourages developers to sound libraries - it's very good! But I had to buy some products, but the desire and money, I need to have a place where to store this product! It's very easy to understand! Why Korg introduces some highly complex innovations - and the basic needs of users can not satisfy? !! If a representative Korg read this forum - PLEASE HELP !!! |

I would like more banks too. But we have 20 of them, and you can load entire PCGs in one go, or mix and match. Can you really not work with that? |

i noticed there are 889 individual blank user Program locations. Is that where you feel the Kronos falls short ?
you mentioned that you might buy sample libs. Are you buying more than 7 titles ? _________________ Kronos 88. MODX8

In my Kronos - banks almost completely filled! And I would like to add the program to your KRONOS! Many developers create excellent sound libraries (including 128 - 256 programs), I would like to purchase, but there is no place to store them! Since I use a tool for live performances, I have no way on stage during performances change PCG! I would like to create a large collection of SFX, the noise that they were always on hand (without changing PCG). All this requires a lot of banks! |

Again, I agree that more banks would be nice, but surely you don't use all programs from all banks in a single live gig. Why not combine the ones you actually use in your "performance PCG"? You can do this fairly easily by loading single programs from disk, by resaving programs to a different location/bank or by using something like PCGTools. |

During the "live" performances I use KRONOS mainly in the mode of SEQ. I have no desire to keep a track of which programs are involved in different songs. In various concerts on stage I use a different set of songs. It may happen that when you use some PCG, desired program will not loaded! I do not think it is very difficult to increase the number of banks in 2-3 times! |

I am not a programmer but I do know a little bit of these things. It would probably not be impossible, but it's certainly not trivial. Nor will it fix the problem of you not wanting to organize your sounds. With two or three times as many banks, you'd just load more sounds and libraries and then complain those are full too. |

Korg earlier added 7 banks (UAA - UGG). Can Add To another bank and not easy, but I think it does not require a change in iron. And believe me - I do a lot of organizing sounds, removed many factory sounds, etc. With regard to 2-3 times, then yes, of course Korg should address this issue globally - 10-20 times (or to each user has the ability to add yourself banks as much as he needs to)! |
