The grey one hasn't seen much love from me since getting the black one. So here is a jaunty, light-hearted grey electribe offering, complete with an ill-advised and artistically questionable Step Jump section at the end...

Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad. |

That's a LOT Less artistically questionable than any of My attempts at using Step Jump, I'm Really Not feeling the Love for that function, despite quite a lot of time attempting to use it, it seems REALLY easy to somehow break the quantization of the track with stuff out of time even when I've let go of the pads, the only way to get it to play in time is to s**t key Play! Any decent video tutorials out there?
Wondering if my issue is cos I DO Like the "Last Step" and tend to use it on at least 2 parts? _________________ Loving My First Electribe!!!

I swear, on earlier OS's i found it very tricky to use, it basically felt unquantized to me. But somewhere along the line, the timing has got MUCH tighter. I use 1 bar patterns for step jumping and lower, hiphop bpms work best for me. You soon get a feeling for which pad makes what sound in the pattern, hit play and juggle away. Strangely, getting your body moving with the groove seems to improve your timing and every now and again, hit that first pad on the one to bring it all back. Great fun, really looking forward to trying this on the sampler with some timesliced loops. And thanks for checking it out!! _________________ If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.

Just terrible! Man you can just hear the poor quality of the E2 in those 2 links! Final proof that they are crippled and unusable to make music! |
