|
|
Hi all,
Was wondering if anyone had put together some Roland Juno or Jupiter-style patches for the KK, which they would be willing to share in kk format?
Also, has anyone created vocoder patches that they would be willing to share?
Thanks!

I don't think the KK is particularly good at Juno like patches to be honest. It misses LFO delay and the characteristic Juno chorus. I used the KK to "replace" a Juno when I subbed in my friend's band (he used a Juno 60 in its place) and I had a lot of trouble copying the sounds accurately. Jupiter may be easier, although I have never had the joy of playing a real one so I couldn't say about some of the more specific features. |

Yes, I guess the chorus is an integral part of any Juno sound. If you have access to your friend's KK and could share the patches you created, it would be really appreciated... |

It's my KK, his Juno 60.
Previously I used my JX-10 to replace his Juno and it worked a lot better. The Kronos iPolysixEX chorus also works well.
It was only like five or six patches really. I could share them if it's easy enough to get them off the KK, I've never needed to do that before. It doesn't have any media slots nor a file manager like the Kronos. Is it just a SysEx dump you need or something? |

Well, if you use Korg's KK librarian (I presume you use that?), then you should be able to extract the patches as .kklib files, and then it's easy to share them... |

Oh no I've never used the librarian, I didn't know there was one. I don't use the KK very often. I'll check it out. Might be a while though |

So there is no way to tweak the onboard chorus to get the Juno sound? _________________ If music is the food of love, play on and play loud!
