Hello! I am new to the forums and had a quick question.

Would this hard drive work for a replacement for the D888?

http://www.amazon.com/Blue-160-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B000VRZ7PA/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1421962042&sr=1-1&keywords=ata+hard+drive&pebp=1421962048923&peasin=B000VRZ7PA

Or perhaps this one?

http://www.amazon.com/Seagate-ST3160215ACE-160GB-ULTRA-7200rpm/dp/B001V7XPJO/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1421962421&sr=1-4&keywords=ata+hard+drive

I love mine, and have used the heck out of it, but the hard drive is about to go out. It's been acting weird lately.

I found this tutorial on how to replace it, and I think I could do it, but I want to make sure I am getting the right drive first.

And if not, could anyone link me to one that would work?

Thanks in advance![/url]

I replaced mine about four yeas back, I don't remember any panic moments so it should be fairly straight forward swap out. My PC reports a drive type of: hitachi HDS721680PLAT80 so that's what I swaped mine for. From memory I formated the drive on a PC first then put the operating system files into the root directory

The files are available from the Korg support website
