Yes, it's real, not Photoshop not vapor-ware but an actual Electribe 2 Sampler being demoed.

Check out this FB thread where a user, Syuhei Yamada, shows off the Electribe Sampler he demoed. Includes a picture and a lot of comments about it, including remarks by James Pullen.

Oh I thought that was his.

Damn here I thought they were starting to be released in Japan.

He did say he was going to post videos of him using it.

That thread is a huge pile of fail IMO, talk about something that went downhill fast.

Shame that James Pullen decided to post while dealing with a nasty cold, he didn't come across as any better than the guy troll baiting him Sad

I'm finding this to be a trend all over the internet. Its like any talk of the new tribes gets people touchy or sensitive. Its amazing how it elicits so much emotion.

I cant believe/understand how the sampler is a copy/pasta of the electribe with the word sampler next to it.

I definitely missed the part where the discussion went "down hill fast".

I was only reading the parts Syuhei Yamada was sharing his experience and where James Pullen was commenting and clearing a couple things up about the the unit. I found Jame's input very helpful in understanding a unit that Korg has taking great pains to say very little about.

James Pullen wrote:
No time stretch. No waveform display, no analogue modelling engine or analogue filter modelling. It's basically a highly customisable rompler/sequencer/pro-fx tool that can be made to sound like a finished piece of music quite easily and taken on the road. The e2 synth feels like more of a studio tool in-use compared to e2s.

Comments like this is really what I focus on.

Here are some more good comments about Pullens experience with the ES2:

Regarding Effects and Composing
James Pullen wrote:
Fx are same as e2. Its practically effortless for composition. I filled it up with a full 250 set in under a week and am happy with the result. Its best to perfect your own library else where and load it in as n when.

About His New Performance Stratagy
James Pullen wrote:
I personally just want to hold one when out and about but they sound nice together, especially with two different verbs simultaneously. Not allowed to post demo vids yet...

FirmWare Swap
James Pullen wrote:
Of course it's possible to change fw... The hardware is the same.... It's not really an end-user thing to be doing and is potentially risky to the system. Don't expect them to offer a firmware switch until every possible bug has been ironed out. And then still don't expect it.
