|
|
Hello,
I can't figure out how to send external audio to my Electribe 2. There is audio going into it (I tried with different cables and external sources). I have an unmuted part set to "Audio In". I don't hear anything, no matter what I do. Changing to "Audio Through" in the global settings doesn't help either.
Any idea what I'm missing?
Thank you |

Turn the Sudio In part's OSC EDIT knob to the right, around the 64 value is about right. Watch your speakers though. _________________ If I'm not listening to music, or if I'm not making music, then I'm probably thinking about music.
Volca Sample, FM, Beats, Kick. OP-1, Monologue, Pocket Operators. And an ipad. |

Excuse my ignorance -
having to program steps - does this mean they act as as something like a gate? (mind you I am hazy on what a gate does...)
If you have trigger steps finishing before the sound does - does it cut off to silence or is there an artifact like a click or something? |

If you don't want to gate the Audio In (for instance lets say you want a constant drone) then make sure all steps are lit and put ties on all.
You can also use Audio Thru if you don't need fx, filter, etc.
edit: doh! Just saw that I said the same thing as Tarekith, sorry _________________ www.soundcloud.com/rob-labs |

Thanks, gents.
I have been spending so much time trying to learn the synth myself i haven't gone near the step edit input sequencer. Will have to get into that.
It would be fantastic if somebody put up a series of vids on the different sections - and ran through showing stuff. I am thinking more like the Doty vids he did for the Microbrute and Volcas. Those would be popular. |

Agree completely. I think with this electribe its best to be thorough and go with each feature one at a time. Now having the electribe for 2 months, I'm changing my mind about several things. For instance, Step Edit: Initially I was not a fan at all. But now it is starting to grow on me. I don't mind it so much any more, though it does take some getting used to. Still would like Step record, but I don't think it goes with the spirit of this electribe - this one is all about live use... _________________ www.soundcloud.com/rob-labs |

With your help I have managed to make my Electribe receive audio, thank you guys!
But whatever I do, the incoming sound is very quiet and noisy, even if I have the oscillator edit knob at 127. Filter, modulation and IFX are disabled. I have tried connecting the Volca Bass and my laptop computer playing music, both with the same results. It also happens with Audio Thru enabled.
Has anyone experienced similar issues? |

Really silly ,I would say stupid problem i had was i hadn't turned the input volume up.
Make sure the volume is up on the amp section and also volume up on the oscillator edit knob.
Test your lead is not faulty as well. |
